Great start to 2015 for Power Gems

Power Gems got off to a great start to 2015, and it’s promising to be a busy year ahead. It all began with a tour of America and Canada by Phil and Patrick, calling in first at William F White in Toronto for the Big Freeze trade event, then onto our premises in Los Angeles and Atlanta. There’s clearly a demand for our new 18kW, with strong sales in Toronto, Montreal and Atlanta in the last 3 months.

The US is a rapidly growing market for Power Gems, thanks to a combination of frequent visits by our sales and engineering team, and the recent appointment of Dan Basso to support customers in the Midwest, North East and Southern States. The opening of our second office in America was a particular highlight of January, with the Power Gems range now better known in the film and TV production industry around Atlanta.

Meanwhile we morphed into a model of continuous improvement and productivity. Since production of our 18kW (the EB1812P) started last October at our headquarters in Manchester, it’s been non-stop. All good news though, with further recruitment to grow our team of assemblers and packers. But it’s not the quantity of growth, but its quality, they say. Exactly! That’s why we’re delighted to be dotting the i’s and crossing the t’s to complete TUV accredited on the full range up to 6kW.

As we enter our 24th year in business, all is looking rosy or at least very bright.
