New 18kW ballast – EB1812P – production starts at Power Gems HQ
We are pleased to announce that production of our latest ballast offering, the EB1812P, has begun at our headquarters in Irlam, outside Manchester. The most recent addition to the Power Gems family was launched at this year’s Cine Gear Expo in Los Angeles in June. Sales have already been healthy with enquiries coming from all over the world.

All the products in our range of electronic ballasts have been manufactured in the UK, since the first ballast we created in 1991. The EB1812P was developed, designed, tested and produced in Manchester.
Watching our team of assemblers put the ballast together, Phil said:
“The start of manufacturing of a new product is always a time of mixed emotions for a designer: It’s great to see the design becoming reality, but you’re handing over responsibility for something which you’ve thought about night and day over a very long period of time. However, the manufacturing team are great and I know they will look after it well and be as proud of it as I am.”
The EB1812P (18kW/12kW/9kW/6kW) is a completely new version of our bestselling 18kW ballast.
