Thriving Power Gems – recruiting again
We are looking for an Assembly/Packing Operative to join the team in Manchester. The role would suit someone wishing to break into the electronics industry.
If you’ve got a good foundation knowledge of engineering and an interest in electronics, that’s great but not essential. We value enthusiasm and a can-do attitude as much as years of experience. Training will be given. It’s more important that you are a friendly, flexible team worker who is handy with a soldering iron or screwdriver.
You’ll be guaranteed a warm welcome; we’re busy, busy, buy. Overtime will be available.
Why is Power Gems so busy?
We design and manufacture a range of electronic power supplies for TV and film lighting, solar simulation, high speed photography and event lighting. During COVID, filming stopped, and the pent-up demand for equipment means we’re working flat out to keep production and rental companies supplied.
You’ll be part of a busy, but friendly assembly team. Wesley, in particular, will be pleased to see you – he joined in March and will no longer be the newbie, although he’s got some way to go to beat Brenda, who joined in 1996 and only left in October 2020 because of retirement.
How do I apply?
Take the first step, read the job description and apply
As an equal opportunities employer, we value applications from candidates of all backgrounds, cultures and abilities.
We are committed to gender equality; this is a priority reflected in our training, best practice and working environment.
