Power Gems Manchester HQ makes new hires
Power Gems has made two new appointments to support the manufacture and dispatch of high speed ballasts.
Adam Czyz and Yesenia (Jessie) Goncalves have joined as Electrical & Electronics Assembler/Packing Assistants at Power Gems HQ, in Irlam outside Manchester, UK.
Adam (above) is a huge craft beer fan and has a side hustle building mountainboards; effectively a motorised snowboard used for off-roading in all weathers. Mountainboarding is a form of snowboarding, on wheels, on all different terrains and improving the design of the board, improves the ride.
Entirely unconnected, Adam’s last job was assembling turbochargers.
Much like Francis Cuevas in our Los Angeles Office, who built a Goldberg machine, Adam enjoys adapting machinery and tinkering with equipment.
Our second hire is a local lass (above), from Irlam who was also working locally, in a meat fridge round the corner from Power Gems HQ.
This is Jessie’s first step into the electronics industry, but she has plenty of enthusiasm and willingness to learn.
“I’m delighted to welcome Adam and Jessie to the Power Gems team”, says co-owner, Phil Ellams. “When we hire, we look less for direct industry experience, because each new hire undergoes extensive factory training. We look more to see if there is a good fit, and it’s clear both Adam and Jessie will mesh well and uphold our high standards.”
Adam and Jessie join our ballast assembly team in Irlam, Manchester during uncertain times, but we are committed to growing the Power Gems team. We will get through this together.
