Power Gems opening hours: Christmas and New Year 2024

At this most wonderful time of the year, we’ll keep this as brief as possible. Power Gems takes a break from Friday 20 December 2024, and re-opens on Monday 6 January 2025.

The longer version – A crib for a bed

Let us introduce an invention born out of the mother of necessity during Phil’s frenzied birthing of LED products in 2024. From what Father Christmas tells us, it wasn’t unusual in the UK for babies to sleep in drawers in the 1940s; a makeshift bed was created by placing the precious newborn on a thick blanket.

Cribs are expensive. Unlike the deep folds of the highly affordable GEMkit, pictured below, because the case itself is free. Get in touch to find out more

Modern safety standards being what they are, we recommend you keep LED products from Power Gems in a waterproof, dustproof, Peli case with foam inserts which are designed to keep them safe. Yes, in the season of giving, we’re giving away a genuine Peli case; when you buy the full GEMKit, a total of 11 Power Gems devices:

Core Products

1 x GEMpsu – Variable Voltage (12V-48V) LED Power Supply

3 x GEM6 – 6 Channel LED Wireless Controller

1 x a mains cable and 1 x additional cables

To get a saving of up to 10% on buying each product on its own.

OK, we made up the bit about safety standards, but you must admit, owning a Peli case is better than keeping the newest LED devices in a drawer. Particularly if you already have a baby sleeping in the drawer.

Also, if you are struggling to come up with the perfect Christmas gift, why not get the greatest flicker-free high speed HMI ballast? Looking for a little something to tuck into their stocking – make them smile on Christmas morning, with a super-compact 6-channel LED wireless controller, the GEM6mini.

Please don’t leave it too late, because we will be shut from Friday 20 December.

Ever reliable, we reopen on Monday 6 January 2025.

In between, please try your best to have a restful, joyful holiday season. Wishing you, glad tidings for the New Year.
