Four new ballasts rolled out – 2015 just got better for Power Gems
Power Gems are in the middle of bringing you yet more new products, and while many designers and manufacturers would be hunkered down at HQ, we’ve found time to visit customers worldwide.
We are planning a major product release in the coming weeks. The introduction of the EB2418P 24kW location lighting ballast will complete the transition to modular build. The 24kW is the fourth addition Power Gems has made to its range of affordable electronic ballast this year; one for each of the key markets we serve. The Rolling Rack Series of 19” rack mounted ballasts for broadcast events, the 3000W Xenon DC300P for OEM applications using high power DC lamps.

Meanwhile meeting face-to-face is the best way for us to understand what you want from our products, and has directly resulted in the launch of our new theatre range.
We listened to those of you working in the theatre and with stage lighting, most recently at Stage|Set|Scenery in Berlin, the industry’s biggest European trade show. It was our first time, attending with STS and K5600, our partners in developing a seamless lighting solution for the theatre market.
Meanwhile back in April Dan and Patrick attended the NAB Show in Las Vegas. May saw Dan take in the East Coast of America on a tour of film and TV customers, studio visits and our Atlanta office. Later, Phil, Patrick and Chip joined Dan for Cine Gear just down the road from our Los Angeles facility.
As if that wasn’t enough, Power Gems celebrated membership of PLASA and the TUV approval of the entire range up to 6,000W.
