Good news – Power Gems are TÜV approved up to 6,000W
We are delighted to announce the TÜV accreditation of the full Power Gems location lighting range up to 6,000W. That’s all the different product lines of Power Gems high speed ballasts up to 6kW recognised by the international safety standard.
Last September we announced that Power Gems had achieved approval on 3 of our products: EB125P, EB180P and EB425P. More about TÜV here
What does the safety standard mean?
The TÜV standards help protect public safety. With full accreditation you can be confident of the safety performance of our ballasts for use in arenas, auditoriums, red-carpet events, or film-making in public spaces.
Finding properly certified products just got easier
Look out for the TÜV label or cUL-mark on the unit. Just one of the features you’ve come to expect included in the price of Power Gems.
Why use certified high speed ballasts?
Certification gives assurance that the product has been well designed and that there is continual monitoring of the manufacturing process. Safety approval is mandatory for some applications, and having the TÜV mark means your ballast will never be turned away from an event by a Fire or Safety Inspector. All our ballasts up to 6kW use TÜV recognised components and have been designed as a certifiable product.
It has taken over 6 months to complete the accreditation process. We are willing to undergo quarterly factory inspections to maintain the standards. We take our responsibility as an exporter seriously – we’ve long been committed to safety, both to our staff, to our customers and to those around us.
Do we meet your standards?
Getting test certification is a benefit when entering most markets in the world where products must be tested by third party laboratories. TÜV is recognised worldwide and meets the particular requirements of the federally-regulated Canadian Electrical Code (the cUL mark is applied by TÜV to products for the Canadian market). With regular shipments to Canada’s largest rental houses helping fuel Power Gems growth, it’s good to know our efforts to respect their safety standards has been worthwhile.
