Power Gems success at Cine Gear 2019
What can we say about Cine Gear 2019? The best chance to see the latest Power Gems drew to a successful close after three days (June 2-5) of packed aisles at Paramount Studios in Hollywood.
Much as using a live decoy entices a target into a trap, tethering Jeremy to the Power Gems booth attracted a host of Canadians. We welcomed folk from The SIM Group, MBS Canada and Affiliated and Jeremy’s former employers, William F White, amongst others.
Not forgetting the locals and visitors too, from far-flung places (including Chris McKenzie of Professional Lighting Services Ltd and Takeshi Omori from Kurosawa Film Studio, from New Zealand and Japan respectively), it was busy, busy, busy on the Power Gems booth.
We were happy to release them all back onto the streets of Paramount Studios, after Patrick, Phil, Jeremy and Chip showed off our LED power supplies – a 600W/900W and a 1200W/1800W – both perfect for high-end flicker-free applications.
Standout features:
- Power supply and driver integrated into one unit.
- 6 continuous current output drivers.
- Flicker-free at all dimming levels.
- Optically isolated serial input and output interface (can support DMX).
Note the uncharacteristic grey sky. The streets of our home city, Manchester are often a stand-in for American cities, most recently for filming the Captain America franchise. While you can fake a storefront, the big giveaway that says ‘we’re not in Hollywood’ now, is usually the sky. Not at Cine Gear, where the grey sky was as familiar to us as wearing shorts are alien to Phil and Patrick.
We look forward to Cine Gear 2020 – and better weather!
