The truth is out there – Power Gems head out to Canada and USA
Power Gems kicked off the 2016 trade show season in fine style in Battersea before embarking on a multi-stop trip round Canada and the States. As you read this, Phil and Patrick are on a fact-finding mission, to learn the truth about our ballasts.
Rather than make assumptions, we are always keen to hear first-hand how the Power Gems range of high speed ballasts is performing. To this end, owners Phil and Patrick are currently travelling around Canada and the East and West Coasts of America to meet with users of our ballasts.
First though, Power Gems kicked off the 2016 trade show season in fine style with the BSC Expo in London (see below). Patrick was in Battersea, where ‘the new location was well-received by everyone we spoke to.’
“Visitors from all over the UK usually come to the show,” he said, “this year it was great to meet so many from Italy, Belgium, France and Netherlands too. We were delighted with the steady stream of visitors to the Power Gems stand and the chance to show off the full range of high speed location lighting ballasts. The lower wattage high speed ballasts went down particularly well, with lots of interest in the low noise EB425PL 2.5/4kW and 1.2kW/1.8kW ballast.”
Patrick goes straight from London to Toronto for William F White’s February Freeze. He meets Phil in Los Angeles where they join Dan Basso, Vice-President of US Sales, before finishing the trip in Atlanta.
The US is our biggest export market, and many of the international sales are directly or indirectly related to the film industry. Hollywood remains an important market for the Power Gems outlet in Van Nuys, with significant growth expected to come in Atlanta. It’s been a year since Power Gems opened in Atlanta, and Phil and Patrick eagerly anticipate being able to help celebrate the first anniversary in mid-February.
One of the great things about Power Gems is that we’re small enough to give you direct access to the senior management team. We’re open to a phone call or email, and welcome meeting up to talk about the Power Gems range of high speed ballasts. You can see a list of the trade shows we’ll be at in 2016. Perhaps we’ll see you there?
We like to think we’re friendly and approachable. But if you would like to give honest feedback, and prefer to remain anonymous, keep a look out for our survey. Coming soon.
