Power Gems go back to college

Power Gems has a new intake starting at Trafford College in Manchester. Michal Nazarewski is embarking on a two-year BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering. After completing the first year of the same qualification, Ben Webb is returning to Trafford to finish his studies. Both Michal and Ben are studying part-time, attending college on day-release from Power Gems. Last year Ben became the first employee to be sponsored by Power Gems to attend college.

Earlier this year we welcomed Michal to the team. Michal joined Power Gems in April and works on the assembly line as a ballast assembler, alongside Ben. While he brings a wealth of experience to Power Gems HQ, Michal is looking forward to developing new skills through vocational learning.

“Michal got an A* on his first assignment, so he’s made a great start,” says Phil of the young learners. “Ben grabbed the opportunity a year ago to combine work with studying, and it’s good to know he’s on hand to help Michal adjust to college life.”
