Production at Power Gems hasn’t slowed down. If anything, we’ve increased capacity by hiring new team members in product testing and on the assembly line.
This week both MBS Studios and Panalux got the kit they required.
A mix of EB960Ps (9kW, 6kW, 4kW, 2.5kW) complete with 1000Hz Autoscan and volt drop cable compensation feature; and the best-selling EB1812P 18kW destined for Panalux.
For MBS Studios, we have started to supply Eastbrook Studios, the studio complex under construction in Dagenham, London, with over half a million pounds worth of HMI ballasts: EB1812P (6kW–18kW), EB425PL (1.2kW–4kW), EB180P (575W/800W/1.2kW/1.8kW) and the highest-powered ballast for location filming, the EB241812P (6kW–24kW).
All Power Gems products are developed and produced in-house, at our headquarters in Irlam, outside Manchester, UK. Each high-speed ballast or LED product is assembled by hand, which naturally restricts capacity. And while we’re working hard to get your orders out, waiting times have been a bit longer. We appreciate your patience; some things are outside our control.

Then, transport delays have made it much harder to get much-needed electronic parts. At one point, we were looking at alternative ways to bring in over a million LEDs from Eastern Europe. The lorry carrying the key component of the new LED retrofitting system we developed to replace fluorescent tube fixtures was stuck in Poland for days.
