GEMtile, GEMflo and PWM40 were big news at BSC Expo
Power Gems attended the BSC Expo, held from 7-9 April at the Evolution Centre in Battersea, London.
Creating a range of LED fixtures was our COVID lockdown project, and we’re still getting used to the novelty of our exhibition space being lit by the new LED Tile and our broadcast-quality LED retrofit system.
We were delighted to demonstrate the GEMflo (shown above), which converts an 8×4 fluorescent tube fixture for blue and green screen lighting.
You can also see four GEMtiles, a broadcast-quality replacement for standard commercial 600mm/2ft fluorescent in action, which seamlessly fits into existing suspended ceilings.
The back cover of the GEMtile is shown in more detail in the foreground of this shot of Patrick and Phil with Kenny Galerne and Marc Galerne of K5600 Lighting.
We interviewed Marc in 2107 about the future of HMI Lighting. Worth a read to see whether his predictions came true.
The GEMtile was developed for PKE Lighting and is now available to order from our product range.
Many people commented on the brightness of Stand 333, and it wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say flights were mistaking the Power Gems stand for the landing strip at Heathrow Airport.
Meanwhile, the Evolution at Battersea was the first outing for PWM40, a combined 3kW Power Supply and 40-channel LED driver for sound stage use.
As we dust down our ballasts after the first in-person UK trade show since February 2020, the Power Gems team eagerly anticipate flying to Las Vegas for the NAB Show (23-27 April).
Patrick and the Power Gems team will be there, eager to show you the full range of 1,000Hz high speed HMI ballasts and low-cost PWM power supply modules for LED. Get in touch if you’d like to meet up.
Can’t make it? Maybe next time. You can view a list of all the trade shows Power Gems will be attending
