Why wait, get LED ceiling tile – new from Power Gems
A new LED product we developed during the first COVID-19 lockdown, the Power Gems GEMtile, has gone from customer suggestion to location filming, in a matter of months.
We don’t believe in delayed gratification, so when one of the largest UK lighting rental contractors, PKE Lighting, approached Power Gems to design a super-efficient lightweight LED tile, Phil got busy.
And, as soon as filming restarted in the UK in September, the GEMtiles were on location for the shooting of a new TV production, and the second season of the Sky drama, Temple, fronted by Mark Strong.

The tile is perfect as a broadcast quality replacement for standard commercial 600mm/2ft fluorescent and LED fixtures, whether in-shot or out of shot. The GEMtiles fit seamlessly into existing suspended ceilings, as you can see from this location photo.
GEMtiles on location for filming of Temple 2
With a choice of mounting options, including a standard Kino-type plate, GEMtiles can be used for a variety of soft light applications found in film and TV lighting.
The GEMtile works with full control of light on set through wired or wireless DMX. The fixture is fully dimmable down to zero and is 100% flicker-free even when dimmed. The 70W bi-colour unit provides accurate colour rendering (min CRI 95) and has a colour temperature range of 2700 – 6500K.
