Fault finding video – Replacing a fuse on the Power Gems EB1812P 18kW
Here’s the first in our series of videos explaining fault finding for the 18kW EB1812P high speed ballast by Power Gems.
In this video, we describe a very specific situation, although quite common, caused usually by problems outside the ballast.
Power on, no LED error lights working

Most likely, the safety loop fuses have failed. And more importantly, Francis is great at explaining exactly how to replace a fuse in the EB1812P.

Replacing a fuse – quickly and safely
In this video, we explain how a fault with the safety loop fuses can be fixed by going to the back of the ballast. The conditions are for a ballast where the modules are powered up, but the display and bridge modules are blank. We talk you through ruling out external issues that have caused the fuses to pop, as a first step to getting your Power Gems ballast working again.
