Power Gems takes ballasts to China at BIRTV
Power Gems partnered with the China Film Equipment Company to introduce the next generation of high speed ballasts to the Chinese market, at BIRTV in Beijing between 23 and 26 August 2017.
As predicted in our preview, the Beijing International Radio, TV & Film Exhibition (BIRTV) trade show did not disappoint! Largely thanks to the fantastic support and help of the Chinese distributor of Power Gems, our show partners, the China Film Equipment Company (CFEC). With their help, the full range of high speed ballasts were on display at stand 8B42. Over the four days, Patrick McGuane gave a number of demonstrations to visitors from lighting rental companies and production studios, as the great and the good of the broadcast industry passed through Hall 8, the international venue.
On the Friday evening, we were invited by our hosts, the China Film Equipment Company, to attend a dinner where we had the good fortune to meet guests from Kino Flo, Rosco, Grip Factory Munich, and Gyro Motion (pictured) amongst others.

This was the second year of Power Gems attending and exhibiting at the premier trade show in China, BIRTV. Working with CFEC, based in Beijing and Shanghai, a sales company with a strong client base makes for a good fit. They have the technical expertise to showcase the advanced technology packed into every Power Gems ballast. Meanwhile, our commitment to the market, demonstrated by opening a local service centre, has already paid dividends.
