Atlanta’s newest studio gets Power Gems ballasts from Quixote Studios
Californian studio and equipment rental company, Quixote Studios Grip & Lighting, have stocked up on Power Gems high speed ballasts. The newly-purchased ballasts will soon ship to Atlanta to service the equally new studio complex, Valhalla Studios.

Quixote invest in the budget-friendly Power Gems
Qixote took 10 each of:
- EB180P: 575W/800W/1200W/18kW ballast
- EB425P: 1200/1800W and 2500W/4000W ballast
- EB1812P: 6kW/9 kW and 12kW/18kW ballast
And for good measure, 6 of the
- EB960P: 2500W/4kW and 6kW/9kW ballast
They’ll be well-equipped to hire out the right ballasts for TV and film production when Valhalla Studios open next year.
Hollywood’s Quixote owns a dozen soundstages and rents out more than 600 production vehicles, plus a full array of film and TV equipment, to productions around the US.
Supplying Valhalla Studio
Quixote have been appointed the exclusive supplier of grip, lighting, expendables and production vehicles for Valhalla Studios. The Quixote team are busy putting the finishing touches on their set lighting and grip office within the Valhalla Studio complex in Atlanta. Gear has already begun to arrive, soon to be joined by Power Gems ballasts.
The first filming within the $70 million Valhalla Studios is slated for February 2017. Construction of the 53-acre movie facility in Georgia, which began in June 2016, is well underway to transform the former warehouse into production offices and three sound stages.
Power Gems welcomes Quixote to Atlanta and looks forward to the opening of Valhalla Studios.
