Recruitment in Manchester – Electronic Assembler/Packing Assistant to join Power Gems
Power Gems has a vacancy for a general assembly assistant and product packer, working as part of our busy but friendly assembly operation. The successful candidate will be based in Power Gems headquarters in Irlam, just outside Manchester, United Kingdom.
Duties will involve preparation of wiring looms, construction of mechanical and electronic assemblies, and packing of Power Gems ballasts prior to shipping. All our ballasts are made in Manchester, with the majority shipped overseas to customers worldwide. We’re always breaking into new markets and expect our ballasts to arrive in perfect working order – so no pressure there then!
But seriously, previous experience is not essential as factory training will be given. We’re looking to recruit a friendly, flexible team-worker who is good with hand tools and can demonstrate engineering aptitude.
The work is varied, as you’d expect from one of the world’s leading ballast designers and manufacturers. Owners, Phil and Patrick are keen to develop the next generation, and this represents a fantastic opportunity to break into the electronics industry.
