Power Gems to showcase latest ballasts at CINEC 2014
There are only really two trade shows in mainland Europe for professional film and TV users, Patrick McGuane believes, and that’s IBC, the International Broadcasting Convention, and CINEC. Patrick heads up our sales division, travelling extensively to maintain strong relationships with customers worldwide.
The Power Gems team are just back from Amsterdam, and IBC14 proved to be just as much a great meeting place at it was 15 years ago when we first started going. “I know I’m going to go there and meet everyone, particularly broadcast, film and media professionals from Asia and the Middle East,” says Pat. “IBC is a big show with 30 huge exhibition halls covering all aspects of the broadcasting industry. I normally spend all day in Hall Eleven walking up and down meeting old friends and making new ones. Everyone comes together for IBC.”
We chose not to exhibit at the show this year but we had plenty of Power Gems products on show. Our friends at K5600 had a great response with the Alpha 9K – power supply courtesy of Power Gems, of course.
While the IBC is an annual event CINEC is once every two years. The 10th International Trade Show for Cine Equipment and Technology takes place 21-23 September in Munich.
We will be exhibiting, showcasing our range of affordable high speed ballasts including the latest editions of our products:

- the recently launched EB960P high speed portable 6/9kW; and
- the 9kW EB900PR 19” rack mount unit, a truly compact ballast.
