RatPac Dimmers visit Power Gems HQ ahead of Atlanta opening
A key player in the American lighting dimmer market, Kevin Neak of Innovative Dimmers, (also known as RatPac Dimmers) will be providing technical support for Power Gems products in the mid-West.
Kevin visited our UK headquarters this week, flying over with our new hire, salesman Dan Basso, who recently joined our facility in Van Nuys. Power Gems and RatPac are neighbours in Los Angeles where both companies are deeply entrenched in the TV and film industry.

Dan and Kevin were given a tour of our manufacturing facility and R&D laboratory. While Kevin was over we continued the conversation about plans to extend our support to customers in the Mid-West via co-operation with RatPac Dimmers. In the New Year, Power Gems will share premises with Rat Pac in Atlanta. Kevin, the enormously capable engineer behind RatPac’s dimmer technology, will provide technical support to both companies.
“Customers will benefit enormously from Kevin’s many years of technical experience developing lighting technology. He won’t just solve your problem, he’ll tell you about the latest advances in technology and Power Gems features that will help you get the best from your ballast,” says Phil.
Kevin said he was impressed by the plans to expand in the States, and of our premises which accommodate all stages in the production process through to final assembly, testing and packaging. “Now I’ve seen the quality of the product build, I’m more confident and keener than ever to support Power Gems. I looking forward to joining the team,” says Kevin.
Meanwhile Dan came to see what the head office is all about, meet the team and continue to get familiar with our range of high speed ballasts. As there’s a core of 20 different product lines with constant additions and updates we may need to get him back here again soon!
