Power Gems ballasts showcased at DCS Cinema Lighting Expo
Power Gems attended the DCS Cinema Lighting Expo organised by the Digital Cinema Society, for the first time. Dan Basso and Chip Harley went along on Saturday 4 March, to the Expo which took place at the IATSE Local 80 stage in Burbank, California.
During the day each exhibitor was given the chance to get on stage and showcase the latest technology. In our case, Chip took to the stage for Power Gems and showed off the next generation of high speed ballasts.

The Expo attracted a good crowd and our range of high speed ballasts drew considerable interest as we were surrounded by LED products.
Other manufacturers and vendors exhibiting at the event included ARRI, BB&S Lighting, Cineo Lighting, DADCO/FilmGear, Dedolight, Digital Sputnik, DeSisti, DoPchoice, Fiilex, Kino Flo, Light & Motion, Litepanels Luminys, MACCAM, Mole Richardson, Nila, Panasonic, Power Gems, Rosco Labs, The Rag Place, Terra LED and Zylight.
It was a relaxed, low-key event, with an assortment of DPs, grips, gaffers, sound and other local union affiliates arriving throughout the day. Streaming coverage of the event will soon be available from the DCS website
