Power Gems debuts at Broadcast India Show in Mumbai

Power Gems attended the Broadcast India Show (15-17 October) in Mumbai for the first time.

Patrick (right) Patrick at Broadcast India Showtravelled from Manchester HQ to exhibit at the British Pavilion, where Power Gems shared a booth with high-end camera lens company Cook Optics; GFM camera support; CMOTION lens control and Tiffin/Steadicam.

The Broadcast India Show has been running for 25 years and is one of the subcontinent’s biggest for the broadcast and entertainment industry, attracting over 18,000 visitors to the Mumbai Exhibition Centre.

Over the three days, Patrick welcomed visitors from Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Chennai. General attendance at Indian shows is always good but the Broadcast show attracts the premier contacts from the major players within the Indian production markets. Patrick made comment:

“This has been our first experience attending this show but not our last, Indian lighting rental facilities can expect to see Power Gems and our range of modular high speed 1,000Hz ballasts at regular intervals as we head into 2016.”

Power Gems has been a leading supplier of high speed ballasts to the Indian media and entertainment industry since 1991. The recent shift towards digital formats has increased the level of enquiries for high quality equipment from the big studios, many of which have attracted foreign investment and transformed from local producers to global players in the entertainment and broadcast sector. We’re seeing that investment in the sector translate into new equipment sales, with people wanting the very latest and best ballasts. That of course means, Power Gems.
