Bigger booth and better ballasts – Power Gems at Cine Gear 2015
The Power Gems team will be at Cine Gear 2015 in Hollywood, Los Angeles, en masse for the movie industry trade show. Patrick and Phil will be flying in from the UK, while Dan and Chip haven’t got far to travel from our facility in Van Nuys to the Paramount Studios between Friday 5 to Sunday 7 June.
For over 10 years we’ve been coming to Cine Gear, usually to exhibit, always to meet Power Gems customers, our friends in the TV and film industry and visitors to our booth.
This year one thing has changed, we’ve got a bigger booth – to accommodate the new people we’ve gained, and display the new additions to our range of affordable high speed ballasts.

At Cine Gear last year we launched the EB1812P ; a modular ballast capable of operating any lamp in the range 6kW through to 18KW. This year we will be showcasing two new designs – Phil is busy making sure they’re finished and ready to be shipped out in time.
Another difference, this year we return with TÜV approval of the entire range up to 6kW. The international safety standard is important for all those red carpet occasions popular with the American market. TÜV approval means our ballasts will never get turned away from events on safety grounds, and can be found at every high profile event including the Beijing Olympics and of course, the Commonwealth Games.
