More bang for Leonetti’s buck
Chip and Dan recently visited Dave Azzoto, General Manager of the Leonetti Company, at the company’s headquarters in Pacoima, CA. The name Leonetti has become synonymous with filmmaking; it’s a family business owned and operated by veteran cinematographer Matt Leonetti ASC, originally set up by his father who worked for Fox in 1934.
The company has a reputation for the manufacturing of innovative lighting systems. The rental arm has been servicing the Los Angeles film industry with lightweight and compact lighting equipment for many decades.
Dave’s support of Power Gems ballasts goes almost as far back as his 21-year career with Leonetti. Under Dave’s guidance, the motion picture lighting equipment rental house has added a selection of our newest line of high-speed ballasts. The company, which has expanded into New Mexico and Louisiana, is stocking up on Power Gems to meet the demand from a loyal and growing customer base, and growth in response to state film incentives.
Dave says, of the new Power Gems ballasts:
“As an independent rental house, we have to be very responsible with our purchases. The cost savings allows us more bang for our buck, with more standard features and [with the new line] we have renewed confidence in the high-speed ballasts of Power Gems. With the great new products and excellent customer service, we’re looking forward to a continued relationship with Power Gems.”
Leonetti’s recent shows include Westworld, Pirates Of The Carribean 5, Same Kind Of Different As Me and Longmire. It seems to be busy times for Leonetti; Power Gems plans to be with them every step of the way, now and into the future.
