Alberto of Aluzine comes from Spain for training
Spanish lighting rental company Aluzine Lighting sent one of their technicians to Power Gems’ head office for practical hands-on training and a factory tour.
In June, Alberto Martinez was with our test engineers in Manchester for a week, gaining an understanding of the full range of Power Gems HMI ballasts and LED drivers and controls. He went away with enough knowledge to undertake repairs himself and the confidence to give good advice to his rental customers.

Alberto recently joined Aluzine as Head of Maintenance, based in their head office in Madrid. The trip was a chance to bond with Patrick and the test engineers, strengthening the direct relationship all our customers enjoy with the technical team for after-sales service and support.
Aluzine also has facilities in Barcelona, Malaga and the Canary Islands and is part of the Southern Sun group; it is a leader in the professional lighting industry in both the Spanish and international audio-visual markets.
We have dealt with Aluzine for the last 30 years; they stock the full line of Power Gems products. Aluzine has been lighting projects in film, television, advertising, photography, all types of events and audio-visual production for 70 years. How on earth did they manage for the 40 years before Power Gems? Patrick wanted to know when he hung out with Roberto Sacristan, Aluzine’s General Director at MicroSalon in Madrid in 2019.

A fortnight after Alberto was in Manchester for training, Patrick was in Munich for Euro Cine Expo, the leading European TV and film industry event.
At the first Euro Cine Expo, held this time last year, Roberto Sacristan (pictured) got carried away with our ballast. And who can blame him?
